Company history
 Magnatech Engineering, Inc. is an outgrowth of an earlier company, Engineered Systems, which began business in 1965 in Michigan.
This company was formed by people in the shredder and conveyor manufacturing business and included Don Graveman, who got his start in the recycling industry in 1960.
After the death and retirement of other associates, Don Graveman was left to run the company, which was then reincorporated as Energy and Environmental Systems, Inc. in 1980. Increased growth led to the formation of a new company - Magnatech Engineering, Inc. - in 1987, which is today a leader in the shredder manufacturing field.
Magnatech Engineering, Inc. manufactures shredders for medical waste, wood pallets, whole automobiles, turnings, aluminum, and steel. We have shipped shredders around the world including the countries of Australia, South Africa, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Brazil, and most recently Italy.
Magnatech Engineering, Inc. has also developed manufacturing techniques in other areas other that shredders and we are currently building dust collection systems, bag houses, cyclones, conveyors of various types, screens, trommels, and related separation equipment in our Kansas facility.
The major personnel are: Don Graveman, a founder and partner of all the companies listed above, is still very active in Magnatech Engineering, Inc.
William Graveman, President, has been in the shredding industry since 1980.
David Wamsely, Vice President, has been in the recycling industry since 1970 and has been active in the design of innovative solutions for scrap shredding and separation systems including the introduction of the closed loop Cascade Cleaning Systems in the US in the late 70's.
Robert Bopp, P.E. our chief design engineer of large shredders, has been in the industry since 1960. Our plant facilities are located on a 16 acre site in Tonganoxie, Kansas, a town about 12 miles west of Kansas City, Kansas
